'Route from Liwonde to Ft. M'langeni'

Covers a 60-mile road corridor in central British Central Africa to a width of approximately 8 miles. Portrays hydrology, relief by form lines and spot heights, roads and tracks, settlements, place names and the international boundary with Portuguese East Africa, across which detail is minimal. Also shows mileages and daily road march progress.The map is undated. The earliest date (1903?) is estimated from the War Office ledger sequence; the latest (1904) is taken from the date of the report from which it was traced and the date of its receipt in the Topographical Section General Staff Map Room.The map was later used in the compilation of BCA/19.
